While presenting for 'BBC Click' LJ Rich has interviewed everyone from the Chairman of Google to the Founder of Twitter. She's driven driverless cars and ridden virtual-reality roller-coasters as part of her day job. As well as reporting on tech for the BBC, LJ is a classical pianist and composer with an MA in Music from Oxford and her own music production company. She also builds interactive music installations all over the world, and enjoys giving interactive presentations from Harvard to Tokyo on her adventures in music and technology.
Over the past couple of years LJ won two hackathons, wore a brain cap that translated her thoughts into musical phrases, subverted London’s Regent Street by turning the Bluetooth beacons into a musical installation, performed data analysis to define the ultimate dance anthem with the Science Museum and fixed her own iPad. One of her home-soldered devices the 'humming engine' got a write up in the Independent. She's co-built other interactive installations played by hundreds of festival-goers, both at the UK's Bestival and LA's massive dance Festival Nocturnal Wonderland.
LJ champions both creativity and technology and is very excited to spend the day with people who appreciate the importance of encouraging these fields to grow.
