BFI Production Fund

The BFI Production Fund provides a range of funding opportunities for feature film production and development, international co-productions and completion funding.

On average, the BFI annually make around 25 major production awards and provide development support for around 100 feature projects. As a distributor of Lottery funding, the BFI is dedicated to reflecting the public with the films they choose to support and encourages applications from a variety of different backgrounds.

Though their offer, filmmakers can find opportunities relating to feature development, support for established filmmakers, documentary funding, funding for debut features and digital and cross-media projects. In addition, the BFI also run the BFI Aardman Development Lab for writers and filmmakers looking to work in animation and the Vision Awards to encourage more creative and financial freedom for production companies.
