Creative England Adds £50k to Creative Business Loans

Creative digital companies can now apply for up to £200k (previously £150k) in the form of an interest-free business loan from Creative England.

The interest free business loans have already attracted creative digital companies such as Sheffield’s The Floow who used their loan to fund a state of the art telematics product for vehicles and Manchester’s Yippee Entertainment who create their umbrella mobile games series Chimpact (see below).

The business loans are aimed at small to medium-sized companies who are looking to develop new products including software, applications and content for Cross Platform TV development; Healthcare; Government Services; Games and Interactive Entertainment; Business To Business; E-Learning including tablet or mobile apps.

Creative England are now offering the interest-free loans of between £50,000 and £200,000 per application, which require match funding with the company sharing the development costs.

Eligible companies must be based in the eligible RGF (Regional Growth Fund) regions, which are: The North of England, East and West Midlands, and the South West of England.
