Following a painful divorce and a mental breakdown, Martin White has had an epiphany – he believes he is the reincarnation of Bruce Lee! He intends to prove it by entering a Kung Fu contest, when his estranged son comes to stay for a weekend and challenges his new reality.
'Bruce' is a 15min comedy drama set in China Town in Liverpool. Martin is mid-40’s, divorced and out of shape. When it looks like Martin's 11 year old son is going to move to Spain with his ex-wife, Martin desperately needs to make a connection and convince his son to stay. So he tells him he is the reincarnation of his son’s hero Bruce Lee. But Martin soon discovers that being Bruce isn't easy and telling the truth is even harder! At the heart of it, this is really a story about a Father and son learning to value each other for who they really are.
