Soda Pictures has released the new trailer for 'The Goob', one of three micro-budget films funded through 2014's iFeatures programme.
The film, directed by newcomer Guy MyHill, is set to a backdrop of Norfolk's dusty stock car racing world in the midst of a heat wave. Here we find sixteen-year-old Goob Taylor (Liam Walpole) whose simple life is made more complicated when his mother starts dating local racing hero and infamous ladies man, Gene Womack (Sean Harris).
As if that wasn't bad enough, The Goob's summer isn't made any easier when the beautiful pumpkin picker Eva arrives on the scene and quickly steals his heart. Watch the trailer below:
Creative England's iFeatures programme aims to support three feature films with a micro-budget of up to £350,000 that demonstraight a regional flair. In addition to 'The Goob', 2014 saw iFeatures support Martin Radich's drama 'Norfolk' and Alex Taylor's coming-of-age feature 'Spaceship'. For more information, head here.
