Telematics Company The Floow Accompanying Prime Minister On Asia Business Tour

Sheffield based telematics company The Floow will accompany Prime Minister David Cameron to South East Asia this week to promote the UK’s booming financial technology sector.

They're one of just 30 UK companies chosen to join the PM on his international trip, joining the likes of Aviva, Balfour Beatty, Airbus UK and JCB.

Attending businesses will travel to Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia as part of David Cameron’s extended efforts to promote and accelerate the growing exports of the UK’s technology sector as outlined in the Government’s recent Productivity Plan

Based in the North, The Floow received funding through Creative England’s Business Loans fund in early 2014 to solidify their product and expand their team. The company have since gone on to achieve great success, securing an exclusive partnership with UK insurance giant Direct Line.

Aldo Monteforte, CEO of The Floow (right) said:

“Over the last three years The Floow has become the trusted provider of telematics data services to some of the world’s most prominent Insurers; leading the way in the telematics sector by delivering actionable insight into driver behaviour from an economic, safety and environmental perspective.”

“Because of these developments the UK is now seen as a leading global force in telematics data management and this trip provides the opportunity to showcase the benefits of our technology to the growing South East Asian market.

“Over the coming week I am looking forward to meeting both public and private sector representatives with a view to demonstrating how The Floow can support accurate insurance pricing, greater road safety and more cost-effective driving; as well how telematics data can help monitoring motor vehicle pollution in the region.”

During the trip Mr Monteforte will also join with the Northern Powerhouse delegation who are part of an official visit to Singapore and Malaysia at an event led by Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, and attended by around 500 guests from across the Singaporean business community.
