What is EPIC?

Creative England has teamed up with the University of Plymouth and partners to deliver EPIC, a three year collaborative project to improve the use of technology in health and social care in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The project is partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund with additional financial support from the South West Academic Health Science Network.

If you are a small and medium-sized business in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, whether it be just starting out or looking to grow, then we can offer the following support at no charge to you:

  • A minimum of 12 hours sectorspecific business support with our experienced digital health business advisors, including workshops and webinars
  •   Access to experts in research areas critical for the development of eHealth products and services
  • Guidance and support in applying for our £600,000 EPIC Challenge Fund

Contact us for an informal chat to find out if EPIC is for you.

Challenge Fund

The £600,000 EPIC Challenge Fund is open to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly looking to engage in the digital health market.

You can either co-design solutions with others or bring forward your own individual ideas. We are particularly interested in hearing about projects that address the themes raised in the eight EPIC workshops held in September 2017 (further details in the EPIC Challenge Fund Guidelines below).
