Creative England is the first port of call for productions looking to film in England, outside of London. Our Production Services team offer free comprehensive production support to Film and high-end TV productions. Alongside our Film Office partners and our Regional and National networks, we are on hand to help at every stage of production, from early feasibility to post. From people to locations, our team can help you find and access the industry’s finest to gain filming permissions and facilitate a smooth shoot.
England is a country steeped in filmmaking history. Its wealth of diverse locations are represented on Creative England’s database which is completely free to use. As part of our national production liaison service, Creative England manages a database of over 10,000 filming locations across England. From stunning landscapes and stately homes to urban slums and ultra-modern offices, the database has everything you need to find the perfect locations for your production.
You will need to complete a short registration form to access the database. The information collected enables us to track production across the English regions and deliver this service free of charge.

Our production services team works closely with local authorities and film offices across the English Regions to facilitate the filming needs of feature and drama productions. The national crew & facilities database lists thousands of crew and facility companies based outside Greater London. From runners to riggers, honeywagons to hairdressers, caterers to camera operators, the service puts productions in touch with people working in every English region across all genres of production.
In addition to the crew database, we also offer a free bespoke service, including advice and guidance, and post out film and TV jobs to the crew database and through our Twitter feed @filminengland
Productions that have used the crewing service to search for crew and use the job posting service include Peaky Blinders, Tolkien, Official Secrets, The Spanish Princess, Killing Eve, Curfew and War of the Worlds.
In the last financial year the Production Services team supported a record £102 million of location filming incorporating over 1500 productions, including 87 features films and 98 TV dramas, shooting across the English regions.
