NORFOLK is Written and Directed by Martin Radich and Produced by Finlay Pretsell and Rachel Dargavel.
Martin Radich – Writer/Director
Martin is a BAFTA-nominated fiction filmmaker and director of photography. Martin is drawn to real life and has worked extensively with non-actors. One example of this is a widely-praised scene in his first feature film CRACK WILLOW where actor Mark Bennett is depicted caring for his elderly father. This role was actually played by Mark’s dad, a decision which gave the scene an additional layer of intensity and poignancy. Described by Edinburgh International Film Festival as a “brave vision”, they selected it as one of their ‘Best of the Fest.’
Rachel Dargavel – Producer
Rachel recently set up her own Nottingham Based production company, Cry Baby. A member of The Vipers Nest, Rachel is one of 13 hand-picked, first-time british and irish film makers, all of whom have an extremely impressive body of work in tv, commercials, shorts or music videos. Rach cut her teeth as a 3rd Assistant Director, moving into Production where she became a highly sort after Line Producer on the low budget British Indie scene.
Finlay Pretsell – Producer
Finlay has been an integral part of the close-knit team at the Scottish Documentary Institute for over 6-years. In that time, he’s directed and produced several short documentaries which have screened at prestigious international festivals including Sundance and SXSW. His work has garnered a number of awards, including a BAFTA Scotland for best short film for MA BAR about veteran weightlifter Bill McFadyen.
